I was commissioned by Cartwright Hall to create a dance floor inspired by the V&A Museum touring exhibition Radiant Buddha. In addition I worked with St Joseph’s Catholic College, Hollingwood Primary and Parkside Primary School from the Transcultural Gallery, Cartwright Hall’s collection of contemporary South Asian British arts. The school’s work was the basis of three 5ft square dance floors painted at each school.

It was from these designs that gave me the inspiration for the commissioned dance floor. The piece measures 22 x 15ft. It will be used in a variety of arts settings in the Yorkshire and Humberside region.
