In the role of art teacher and development worker, during my year as a VSO volunteer in Eritrea, I curated several exhibitions, established community links to undertake commissions and organised work experience placements that led the students to income generating ventures and I also contributed to setting up the first Art & Design course in Eritrea since independence.
