Wetherby Wall Hanging project
Wetherby

A local history project, funded by Leeds Artists into Schools, this project involved the four primary schools in Wetherby and pupils researched events, characters and landmarks in the Wetherby area.

Their drawings were the basis for the batik designs, along with the school emblems incorporating sequins, beads, fabric glitter and embroidery threads in the completed four by eight foot wall hanging. The piece is now permanently displayed at Wetherby Town Hall.
